Segway Discovery to debut shared scooters Max 2.2 and T60 at CES

By January 2, 2020February 25th, 2021No Comments

Segway Discovery, a subsidiary of Segway-Ninebot Group, will showcase its three shared scooter models, namely Kickscooter Max 2.0, Max 2.2 and Roboscooter T60 at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next week.

Eyeing on improving the efficiency and experience of shared mobility, Segway Discovery provides a full set of solutions ranging from hardware, mobile Apps to turnkey software platform for small businesses to start and scale scooter sharing operations smoothly and profitably.

After Kickscooter Max 2.0’s arrival last year August, Max 2.2 and Roboscooter T60 are the latest two models to join Segway Discovery’s lineup of shared scooter offerings.

Max2.2, equipped with a swappable battery

Optimized and well-tuned, the kickscooter MAX 2.2 was specially engineered to address the challenges of an urban fleet, which means that Max 2.2 has introduced bigger wheels, a built-in IoT device, hidden cables, and other sturdier design that make it more stable, durable and easier to control.

Max 2.2 also comes with a swappable battery, which makes scooter sharing safer, and more efficient to operate. By introducing a swappable e-scooter, operators can simply swap out the battery pack on site, keep scooters available all time.

T60, the near future of micromobility

Roboscooter T60 features three independent wheels and braking systems to ensure rider safety. But what really sets the T60 apart from other scooters is its computing power and advanced AI set. The T60 boasts visual navigation with teleoperation guided by clicks on images, deep learning that empowers obstacle avoidance, automatic regrouping in areas with greater demand, and returns to its dock and parks itself for charging.

The creation of T60 enables a new world of possibilities where a scooter can automatically arrive exactly where the rider needs it and returns to its docking station for charging, ensuring streets are clear of scooter litter.

Currently, T60 hasn’t been mass-produced yet, but in a pilot program established recently by Segway Discovery and Capital Steel Group, a fleet of 50 to 100 T60 will be operated in the industrial park starting on January 8th for a year.

All-in-one solution

Segway Discovery provides a turnkey solution for small businesses to quickly start their own scooter sharing operations. Segway Discovery will then help them with the scooters, the mobile App, management system and other related technology and all-round advice on how to get their business off the ground.

Please notice that both Max 2.0 and above two new models backed by Segway Discovery’s full set solution will be seen at the upcoming 2020 CES. Feel free to join Segway Discovery at Booth No.25602, South Hall 2, Las Vegas Convention Center during January 7th to 10th.
